CVEI staff has completed dozens of site investigations following CERCLA, RCRA, State, and local guidance.  Our data collection is designed to provide the information necessary to evaluate risk, remedial alternatives, and closure strategies.  We utilize ArcView GIS mapping software (ArcView) for data presentation and analysis.  The types of site investigation services we offer include:

  • Preparation of Work Plans, Sampling and Analysis Plans, and other quality assurance project plans as necessary for data collection;
  • Underground storage tank investigations to delineate the extents of fuels and fuel-oxygenates in soil and groundwater;
  • Determine the nature and extent of industrial pollutants at aerospace, industrial, and chemical manufacturing facilities including volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds, petroleum hydrocarbons, metals, poly-chlorinated biphenols, herbicides, pesticides, and liquid and solid rocket fuels and propellants;
  • Dry cleaning facilities with incidental releases of industrial solvent.
  • Experience with a wide range of drilling methods and sample collection techniques for soil, soil gas, residual product, groundwater, surface water, stormwater, and ambient air.
